# ProtectedResourceConstants

## Definition

**Assembly:** Microsoft.OData.Mcp.AspNetCore.dll

**Namespace:** Microsoft.OData.Mcp.AspNetCore.Constants

**Inheritance:** System.Object

## Syntax

```csharp theme={null}
Microsoft.OData.Mcp.AspNetCore.Constants.ProtectedResourceConstants
```

## Summary

The literal wire values `AddProtectedResourceMetadata` publishes: the RFC 9728 well-known path, the
RFC 6750 `Bearer` scheme, and the auth-params an annotated challenge carries.

## Remarks

These strings are deliberately duplicated from `Microsoft.OData.Mcp.Authentication` rather than
shared with it. The dependency direction in `specs/v3/ARCHITECTURE.md` is one way: the CLI may
reference an ASP.NET Core hosting concept, an ASP.NET Core host may never reference outbound
authentication. Four constants is a cheaper price than a reference that inverts the graph.

## Examples

```csharp theme={null}
var url = $"{origin}{ProtectedResourceConstants.WellKnownPath}";
```
