# ODataMcpInstructions

## Summary

The MCP `initialize.instructions` text every OData MCP host advertises.

## Remarks

The default carries only the rules a calling model cannot infer from tool schemas. Developers may prepend
service-specific guidance through [ODataMcpCatalogOptions.InstructionsPreface](https://ai.easyaf.dev/odata-mcp/api-reference/Microsoft/OData/Mcp/Core/Catalog/ODataMcpCatalogOptions.md#instructionspreface); the default
is never replaced.
